Did you know... that the current government of Alberta (UCP), scrapped the Regulated Rate cap back in November of 2019. What this has done has allowed the regulated rate (set amount you are paying for an amount of electricity you use in kWh) to increase, costing you more for the power you use, especially if you are on a regulated rate option!!
As well, what I have seen is if you are on a floating rate, just the other day I saw a rate as high as 22 cents per kWh. The cap was 6.8 in Nov.
